San Francisco

I think I overdid it. My first full day on the bike ended up being a full day on the bike. I left Big Bear, CA at about 9:15 in the morning and pulled into Santa Rosa, CA 14 and a half hours and 649 miles later at 11:45. It was a great day overall but my body paid for it. I'll upload some stories/pictures/video/gps in a little while, but just wanted to let everyone know that the journey had begun and I and the bike are doing well.

Oh, and two other things. One, I figured out why the feedback link on my last post was busted...that should be fixed. And Two, I keep meaning to tell you all that I found out that I passed my Real Estate Broker's exam on Saturday. It's great to have that done and out of the way. Ok, more later.

14.5 hours on the bike... Your body is probably like one of those unbendable action figures that goes on a toy motorcycle. I hope your hands are not permanently formed into little loops good only for gripping handle bars. That would be no good.

dude! you should totally drive less than that per day. if you averaged 649 miles a day, you would be back home in 9 days! since you have 6 weeks, you totally should stretch it out.

Brian,
It was sure great to hear from you today while we were at Mission Valley.Wow! What a first day you had. Hope you take it easy over the weekend. If I were doing a "trip tik" for you, I would definitely recommend less hours! Hi to Tisha. Love, Mom & Dad
dude, after 14.5 hrs. i bet you have a wicked rash. congrats on the broker's deal! i didn't mean to ignore that factoid during our IM sesh the other day, there was too much stimuli--email, cell, im, sandwich. now to top your incredible feat of strength, you must ride a wheelie for the next 14.5 hrs.
